Peguyangan Waterfall Nusa Penida ( Golden Egg of Bali ) - is an iconic spot for tourists and locals, most widely known for the Nusa Penida blue stairs. We’d heard the waterfall was a little underwhelming, if not non existent, but the cliff edge views made up for it. So we headed to the Southern point of the island to find out for ourselves. Arranged over the South East bluffs of Nusa Penida, this is one climb all enterprise searchers must take. For the Balinese, it's a journey to a holy sanctuary and for guests, it's an opportunity to encounter stunning precipices and climb a standout amongst the most picturesque regions of Nusa Penida. A photo does not catch the amazement of remaining there, at the highest point of a precipice sitting above this lofty drop to your right side and perpetual sea to your left side.
It takes us for a short time to take everything in and set ourselves up for the climb over. This waterfall will blow your mind as you witness its beauty. The terrain can be a quite challenging while you try to achieve the waterfall including a 200-meter cliff of very steep stairs to scale.
On the southeast coast of Nusa Penida, Peguyangan Waterfall sits at the bottom of some pretty epic cliffs. It’s one of the less publicized things to do on Nusa Penida but one of my personal favorite. An iconic blue stairway leads you down a cliffside pathway to a sacred water temple, a pilgrimage site for locals.

We broke down day 2 of our Nusa Penida tour by visiting Banah Cliff Point, Tembeling Natural Pools and Peguyangan Waterfall on scooters. The roads are pretty rough to all 3 of the above so please take care when driving!
